Job Description
As a Software Engineer – Confluent, you will contribute to the development of IBM's Hybrid Observability & Management solutions, including Unified Stream Manager (USM) and Confluent Control Center (C3).
You will collaborate with experienced engineers to build reliable, scalable, and enterprise-grade software while learning modern software engineering practices, distributed systems, and cloud-native technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver software features with guidance from senior engineers.
- Build and enhance USM and Confluent Control Center capabilities.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Participate in design discussions and code reviews.
- Troubleshoot production and customer-reported issues.
- Write unit tests and fix software bugs.
- Learn IBM engineering standards, release processes, and development tools.
- Take ownership of assigned software modules over time.

Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
