Red Hat is looking for Software Engineering Interns to join its teams in Pune and Bengaluru. Selected interns will work closely with experienced mentors and contribute to real-world software engineering projects.
The role provides exposure to technologies including Ansible, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), OpenShift, AI, Python, GitHub, Java, Agile, and JavaScript. Interns will collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams while gaining practical experience throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with senior mentors to design, develop, and maintain software.
- Write and maintain code using Python, Golang, or similar programming languages.
- Develop new features for Red Hat products.
- Debug software and identify and track issues.
- Work with products and technologies such as RHEL and OpenShift.
- Collaborate with Quality Engineering, Design, Product Management, and Documentation teams.
- Participate in software development activities throughout the product lifecycle.
- Work collaboratively with other interns and global engineering teams.
- Learn and explore new technologies through projects and structured learning programs.
Eligibility Criteria
- Currently pursuing the final year of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent discipline.
- Freshers are eligible to apply.
- Basic knowledge of Software Engineering concepts.
- Basic knowledge of or willingness to learn Python, Golang, or similar programming languages.
- Good written and spoken English communication skills.
- Passion for technology and curiosity to understand how software works.
